According to the U.S. Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management, there are 800 billion barrels (a moderate estimate) of recoverable oil from oil shale in the Green River Formation, which goes through Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. This is three times greater than the proven oil reserves of Saudi Arabia. Let’s get digging!

Maybe VSU students wouldn’t have to cross the road when the sign says not to if cars would let us walk when we are supposed to. It’s ridiculous that I almost get hit by a driver not paying attention every day!

I am an ex-employee at Brookfield Academy. I moved away to further my education. While reading the VDT, I saw where they won best daycare. CONGRATULATIONS! You guys really are the best. Mrs. Stacie, I love you. You were the best boss ever!

I would like to congratulate the city for having great employees such as Ms. Matthews. She does such a wonderful job and helps me any time that I need something. You can feel her smiling through the phone. Thank you Ms. Matthews for making me feel important and valued.

Someone needs a geography lesson. North Lowndes is not Valdosta. When someone says it takes 30 minutes to travel from one end of Valdosta to another, it doesn’t include the county.

I’ll share the road when you cyclists obey the laws of the road. Did you ever think that the person in the UK may be in the U.S. military stationed there? People are so closed minded!

The fire in the “home” daycare center in Houston that killed kids is our wake-up call. DFCS, please inspect ours! Those advertised and those not. Twenty years ago a handful of daycares. Now they’re everywhere. Prevention helps protect our kids!

Is there anything you people won’t blame on Obama?
