Set the date: Mercy Mountain Boys concert reminder

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for The Mercy Mountain Boys concert fundraiser for veterans at Hatch Park on May 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Mercy Mountain Boys Veterans Assistance Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization that donates time to good causes. They kicked off their Great American Veterans Tour in September 2010 and are doing a series of concerts to honor military veterans. Future tour stops will include Biloxi, Ms. and Savannah, Ga.
Aside from the musical entertainment, there will be food and beverages for sale, including chicken and rice dinners, hot dogs, nacho cheese, sodas, bottled water, tea and candy coated peanuts. All proceeds will be donated to Mercy Mountain Boys Veterans Assistance Foundation.
There will also be a raffle for a Savage axis camo rifle with scope (your choice of caliber) provided by Daddy’s Gun Shop in Mayo. Raffle tickets are $10.
The American Red Cross and Life South Blood Bank of Lake City will also be on hand, as well as the Branford Boy Scouts and Ellis Lindsey, a square dance /line dance instructor from Fort White.
Sponsors are needed to help cover the cost of the venue and advertising. All other proceeds will go to the Veterans Assistance Foundation.
