Cristi Godwin, nurse practitioner, opened Healthsource Medical Clinic down the road from Valdosta Mall in March.
Her passion for helping people in the community stems from her experience at South Georgia Medical Center.
The walk-in clinic is one that is open to a variety of circumstances, from weight loss to the common cold.
The clinic has a staff of six employees, including Medical Director Jonathan Williams and Julile Anderson, an assistant to Godwin. Godwin does it all for those who seek her assistance.
“Cristi wanted to focus on patient care and have a personal relationship with her patients,” said Ware Godwin, husband and co-owner. He handles the business side of the clinic as his wife has one-on-one contact with her patients.
The clinic has a total of six workers, including the couple, and offers services for women and men. The concept of Healthsource Medical Clinic came about when Godwin realized that she wanted to provide clients with an alternative option in care who may not have another option or a primary doctor.
The clinic offers services such as weight loss HCG, PCA skin care, chemical peels, botox, dermal fillers, complete family care and a makeup line by Jane Iredale, which is mineral makeup.
When asked what set her apart from the competition, Godwin answered, “We are offering the skin care and makeup line. That combination is not here in town. Also, we offer quality care and personalize it to the patient.”
