Three members of a Live Oak family have been arrested on multiple drug charges after selling to a police informant, according to Sheriff Tony Cameron.
Daniel Jerome Pike, 58; Margaret Faye Pike, 50 and Jason Derek Pike, 29, all of 19335 124th Street, Live Oak, are father, mother and son, according to Cameron.
Daniel Pike was arrested on charges of possession of Oxycodone, three counts of sale of Oxycodone, possession of morphine with intent to sell, sale of morphine, two counts of possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell, and unlawful use of a 2-way communications device; Margaret Pike faces two charges of possession of morphine with intent to sell, two counts of sale of morphine within 1,000 feet of a school, sale of Oxycodone, possession of Oxycodone and Hydrocodone with intent to sell, and unlawful use of a 2-way communications device; Jason Pike was charged with two counts of possession of morphine with intent to sell and two counts of sale of morphine.
The three were arrested Wednesday following a lengthy investigation from March 31 to June 10 in which the three sold those drugs during that time to a Suwannee Drug Task Force confidential informant, according to reports.
One of those transactions took place within 1,000 feet of Suwannee-Hamilton Technical Center, while another occurred near a childcare facility and church. Some other sales were done from the family’s home, according to reports.
Reports indicate that Daniel and Margaret Pike used two-way devices to facilitate their drug sales.
The transaction between the Pikes and informants were both audio and video recorded by authorities, reports show.
Authorities commenced an investigation to catch the three, suspected of drug possession and sales, in the act, according to Cameron.
“This was an ongoing investigation with the drug task force,” he said. “We wanted to make purchases from all three.”
The three were arrested and booked into the Suwannee County Jail.
