Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park claims six awards at Florida Festivals & Events Association Convention

The Florida Festivals & Events Association concluded its 17th Annual state convention this past Friday with awards presented in each of 17 different categories and Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak was one of the biggest winners in capturing five first place awards and one runner-up recognition on behalf of Florida’s Suwannee River Valley Marketing Group.

Teena Peavey, marketing director for SOSMP, was on hand to accept the awards and beamed with pride over the impressive showing.

“We’re both delighted and proud beyond belief over the awards. I can hardly believe we won five first place awards in a state where there are so many talented people and great events,” she said.

SOSMP won for “Best Photo” from an entry by George Peavey, entitled “Serenity on the Suwannee.” Another winning entry was for “Promotional Item” in the form of an embossed Kazoo. The Bear Creek Music Festival won two first place awards, one for “Best T-shirt Design” and the other in the category of “Best Outdoor Advertising. Bear Creek also was runner-up in the division of “Best Program Design.”

The other first-place award was for “Best Social Media Marketing Campaign” and related to the Facebook site for Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. All of the awards were earned in the category of events with a budget of $74,999 and under. Awards were also presented in the 17 categories to festivals, fairs and other events with budgets of $75,000 and over.
