Kazuko M. Gonzalez, 75, of Valdosta, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on March 18, 1936 in Tokyo, Japan to the late Kannichi and Miyono Machida. Mrs. Gonzalez was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Gonzalez of Valdosta; one son, Roy Gonzalez of Valdosta; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Tracy and Jerry Baker of Carrollton, Ga., Sue Anne and Randy Baker of Valdosta, Bonnie and Jeff Barrett of Warner Robins, Ga. and Laurie Gonzalez of Valdosta; 10 grandchildren, Amber Irelan, Joey Dumey, Gary McKenzie, Christina Freeman, Alisha Dumey, Anjelica Baker, Brandi Baker, Phil McKenzie, Raven Baker and Janzen Barrett; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Kaoru Yugi; six brothers, Fumio Machida, Norio Machida, Kiyonobu Machida, Takashi Machida, Hideo Machida and Mitsuo Machida.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Langdale Hospice House, P.O. Box 1727, Valdosta, GA  31603-1727. — Carson McLane Funeral Home
