Woman killed on Bemiss Road this morning

- The scene of the fatality accident on Bemiss Road Thursday morning involving a truck and a car. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the northbound truck crossed the double yellow line around 6 a.m., hitting the car traveling southbound, killing the driver of the car and critically injuring the driver of the truck. Bemiss Road was shut down just north of Moody Air Force Base at Hightower Road to New Bethel Road as Georgia State Patrol worked the scene, including the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team V.
A woman was killed in a two-car collision this morning on Bemiss Road near Moody Air Force Base. Traffic may be blocked or delayed along the road until noon. Authorities have not released the woman’s name.
