The Lafayette County Volunteer Fire Department is having a Thanksgiving bake sale at the Mayo Thriftway on Wednesday, Nov. 23 beginning at 9 a.m.

Come by Thriftway on Main Street in downtown Mayo and choose from a variety of cakes and pies for your Thanksgiving feast.

All proceeds from the bake sale will go toward funding needed equipment and supplies for the Lafayette County Volunteer Fire Department.

“We again would like to say thank you to the citizens of this county for your continued support in the past, because without you we would not have been able to accomplish the goals that we have been able to reach,” said Leta Hawkins of the fire department. “We wish each and every one of you a safe and blessed Holiday season.”
