Agnes Mildred Herron

Agnes Mildred Herron, age 100, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida. She was born in Tottenham, England, to the late Stanley Ismay Thompson and the late former Agnes Mary Dockrell. Coming from Arcadia, Florida, she had lived in Mayo since 2003. Mrs. Herron was a homemaker and of the Methodist Faith. She immigrated from England at 8-years-old with her parents. She lived in Miami for many years prior to moving to Arcadia. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, making and painting ceramics.

She was pre-deceased in death by her husband Dale Herron.

Survived by a son; Francis Stanley Cold and wife Marlene, of O’Brien, Fla., special extended family; Tommy and Pat Polk, of Mayo, Fla., (2) grandchildren; Dale Albert Cold, of Virginia Beach, Va., Deborah June Valle, of Miami, Fla., (2) great-grandchildren; Bryce Valle, and Vincent Valle.

Memorial Services will be held at Burns Mayo Chapel on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Randy Waters officiating.
