Kappa Delta Sorority at Valdosta State University will host its 18th annual Shamrock Project this Saturday and Sunday.
This year’s Shamrock event, a flag-football tournament, will be held at the recreational fields on Sustella Avenue, which are located directly behind the Centennial Residence Hall on the VSU campus. The registration fee is $125 per team, and each team must consist of at least seven members.
Eighty percent of the proceeds collected will remain in Valdosta, benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Lowndes County. The remaining 20 percent will go to Prevent Child Abuse America (PCA America), the sorority’s national philanthropy, for nationwide public awareness programs. They will join thousands of Kappa Deltas across the country in the fund-raiser to benefit local affiliates and chapters of PCA America.
