Mrs. Eunice Robinson, a resident of Live Oak, Florida, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 in Haven Hospice of Lake City, Florida.
Mrs. Eunice Robinson is survived by her daughters: Cynthia Robinson, Rhonda Robinson (Murray), Bernita (Robert), Hargett and Gennetta Montague; one son: James Robinson (Tracy); one sister: Gladys (Harry) Williams; 17 grandchildren and many other close relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Robinson will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the African Baptist Church, Rev. Alex Fountain, Pastor. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Sweet Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery.

Donald Earl ‘Don’ Sivyer Sr.
March 31, 1926 – March 15, 2012
Don was born in Chicago, Illinois March 31, 1926 and grew up in Miami, Florida. He started working at the US Postal Service part time when he was 14. At 17, while still in high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and fought in WWII. At the age of 20 he was rehired at the USPS and retired as the postmaster of Belle Glade, Florida. He retired from the United States Naval Reserve as a Commander in 1975.
In 1983, he became a full time farmer in Live Oak, maintaining cows and a u-pick blueberry farm. Between 1992 and 1994, he served as chief of the Suwannee County Stagecoach Volunteer Fire Department. He served as a deacon at Sierra Norwood Baptist Church in Miami. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Live Oak, and was an active Mason.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years: Helen R. Sivyer,; four daughters: Lucy (Hugh Spencer) of Live Oak; Sally (Richard Bennett) of Parrish, Fla.; Nancy (Tony Simmons) of Jupiter, Fla.; and Susan (Steve Halvorson) of Silverthorne, Colo.; three sons: Donald E. Sivyer (Julie) of Thomasville, Georgia; John W. Sivyer (Ofelia) of Tallahassee, Fla.; and Daniel R. Sivyer (Tina) of Live Oak; 20 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren; one brother: Arthur T. Sivyer, Jr. of Venice, Fla.; one sister: Patricia Watkins of Okeechobee, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church, with interment at the church cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Antioch Baptist Church.

Othan Kirby Ragans
May 28, 1918 – March 16, 2012
Othan Kirby Ragans, 93, of Wellborn, Fla., passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 in the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Fla. The Cairo, Ga. native moved to Wellborn in 1945 from Lake City, Fla. Mr. Ragans was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a 27 year retired auto body mechanic from the Ratliff Ford Motor Co., Live Oak, Fla., and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, Lake City, Fla.
Mr. Ragans is survived by his daughter: Sarah Holton, Wellborn; Three sons: Lawrence ( Hale) Ragans, Tampa, Fla., Donald Wayne (Molly) Ragans and Richard Kirby Ragans both of Wellborn; One sister: Velma Lee, Dowling Park, Fla.; Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 19,2012 at the Fellowship Baptist Church with Mr. Dwight Law officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Baptist Cemetery.

Josephine “Granny” Lang
Jan. 29, 1929 – March 19, 2012
Josephine “Granny” Lang, age 83, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away Monday evening, March 19, 2012 at the Suwannee Health Care Center in Live Oak, Fla. following a lengthy illness. The Jenkins, Ky. native moved to Live Oak in 1989 from Tampa, Fla. She worked for over 10 years with the Hillsborough County School System. Granny loved to crochet and had been a “Happy Hooker” since 1984. She also loved her farm animals and enjoyed the outdoors very much. She was the oldest continuous member of the Westside Baptist Church of Live Oak and a member of “Busy Hands For Babies” at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors include one son, Walter “Ed” (Janiece) Lang, Jr., Live Oak; one daughter, Sandy Cooper, Live Oak; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Ken Edenfield officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Luke’s “Busy Hands” P.O. Box 1338, Live Oak, FL 32064.

Ivy Robbins
Jan. 25, 1920 – March 15, 2012
Ivy Robins, 92, of Russellville, died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at
the Select Specialty Hospital in Sparks Regional Medical Center in
Fort Smith. She was born January 25, 1920, at Leytonstone, London,
England, to Henry and Frances Louisa Proctor Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard Robins; and
eight brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Randy Thomas and Ellen
Robins of Midlothian, Virginia; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie R
and John Cotton of Russellville; five grandchildren, Jason Robins,
Katie Steffens and her husband, Jon, Laura Cotton, Christopher Cotton
and Allison Cotton; and two great-grandchildren, Parker and Alex
Steffens.
The family will conduct a private memorial service at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
