Lester Louis Ambrose Jr.
Oct. 22, 1955 – March 23, 2012
Lester Louis Ambrose Jr., 56, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away suddenly and entered the realm of the heavenly father early Friday morning, March 23, 2012 at his home in western Suwannee County. Beside him was the love of his life, Janice Holcomb Ambrose. The two were married on Aug. 21, 1987.
Lester was born on Oct. 22, 1955 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and was a lifelong resident of Suwannee County. He was a US Army veteran from 1972 to 1975. Known to many and loved by all of them, Lester’s main occupation in life was owner/operator of a long-haul truck business. His last occupation was spent at Wes Haney Chevrolet in Live Oak, Fla. Known as a crowd favorite and an avid sports fan, Lester will be notably known as loving husband, dad, brother, papa, son and uncle to many.
Lester was preceded in death by his dad, Lester Louis Ambrose Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Janice Holcomb Ambrose; daughter: Cheryl Witt (Toby), Lake City; sons: Billy Waters (Leah), Salado, Texas; Greg Waters (Ashley), Live Oak; Jeff Waters (Amber), Live Oak and Hunter Waters, Live Oak; Skylar Sikes, Branford; mother, Lois Ratliff Ambrose, Live Oak; brothers, Charlie (Debra) Ambrose, Live Oak; Bill Ambrose (JoAnn Leone); Bert (Kayla) Ambrose, Live Oak; Stacy (Chris) Harrell, St. Augustine; sister, Judy Story (Sonny), Live Oak. Numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Services for Lester will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Daniels Funeral Home in Live Oak. A private gathering for immediate family will be held at Daniels at 4 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2012.

Martin Crandle Blevins
March 19, 1943 – March 18, 2012
An amazing man, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend found his way into the light today. His passing leaves many without guidance, but the wisdom that he left is forever lasting. May God open his arms to this great man as he did to everyone that he knew. Martin leaves his wife Sandra Ann Miller of Live Oak, Fl., Son Jeremiah John Blevins of Live Oak, Fl., Late son “Spud” Martin Crandle Blevins, Jr. and Daughter Angela Aldahwi of Lauderdale By The Sea, Fl… Martin was the son of Clifford and Georgia Smith Blevins of Johnson City, Tennessee. He is the beloved brother of Carolyn Tester of Stony Creek, TN., Clifford Allen Blevins, II of Elizabethton, TN. and Fredrick Blevins of Minnesota. Three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends will forever miss this great man. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT. James William Garry, Sr.
Oct. 7, 1927 – March 25, 2012
James William Garry, Sr., age 84 of Live Oak, FL passed away March 25, 2012 at his home following a lengthy illness. The Kingston, NY native moved to Live Oak, FL in 1988 from Fayetteville, NC. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from General Electric as a welder. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his dog Jake.
He is survived by one son, James (Carol) Garry, Jr., Live Oak, FL; one step-daughter, Marylou Clegg, Vass, NC; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Bernadine Scheck, 92, Live Oak, Fl passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 after a short illness. The Chicago, Il native moved to Live Oak seven years ago from Clearwater, Fl and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by her son: John D. Scheck, Jr., Live Oak, Fl; two daughters: Ruth Ballard, Live Oak, Fl, Jonadine Grimes, Live Oak, Fl; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, March 26th at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. James Carrier officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Henry V. Smith
January 10, 1921 – March 25, 2012
Henry V. Smith, 91, passed away at Haven Hospice at 7:30 a.m. on March 25, 2012. Born January 10, 1921, he was the last of 12 children raised in Picayune, MS and New Orleans, LA. He served his country proudly; first in the Navy and then with the V.F.W., American Legion, and 40 & 8. The last of the true machinists starting at the age of 15 until the age of 80 with his shop Smith’s Machining & Welding. He loved the Methodist Church. There was nothing he wasn’t willing to do for anyone or organization.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley; sons Tim, Keven, Russell; daughter Karen; and step-children John, Jeannice and Lisa.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Live Oak on March 29, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. with William Finnin officiating.

Betty “Vicenta” Wilson, 56, Live Oak , FL passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 . The Philippines native moved to Live Oak seventeen years ago from Little Rock, AR. She loved roses, catering and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband of twenty nine years: James Wilson, Live Oak, FL; mother: Otilia Dogmoc, Suriago, Philippines; one daughter: Sheri Wilson; two sons: Michael Wilson, Mark Wilson; two sisters: Marita Dicicco, Lynn Finch; two brothers: Allen Dogmoc and Loyd Dogmoc. Grave side services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 26th at Live Oak Cemetery with Father Andy Mitera officiating.
