Strong winds, small hail possible until 2:30

The National Weather Service has issued a significant weather advisory for Hamilton and Suwannee counties for strong winds and small hail valid until 2:30 p.m. today.
At 1:34 p.m., the NWS Doppler Radar indicated strong thunderstorms centered two miles south of West Lake, or five miles northeast of Suwannee River State Park, moving east at 5 mph. These strong thunderstorms will also affect areas around West Lake, Suwannee River State Park, Newburn, Jennings, Live Oak, Suwannee Springs, Jasper and Belmont through 2:30 p.m. Hail up to three quarter inch in diameter and gusty winds of 45 mph will be possible. Heavy rainfall will produce ponding of water on roadways and minor flooding of low-lying areas.
