- On Friday morning, it was discovered that someone during the night fired their gun at the entrance door of Little Caesar’s Pizza on Ohio Avenue.
On Friday morning, Peter Noelker was the first employee to arrive at Little Caesar’s Pizza, 1540 Ohio Ave. South, Live Oak, to find that the front entrance door had been shot at.
According to Live Oak Police Department Investigator Justin Bates, sometime during the night, someone using a small gun, possibly a 17 caliber rifle, fired at the glass door causing minor damage.
“The building has an alarm, but it didn’t go off and no one gained entrance into the building,” Bates said.
Noelker said when he arrived on the scene, he learned that a parking lot maintenance worker discovered the damage and reported it to the Live Oak PD.
“There was a break on one side of the door, and another break near the door handle,” Noelker said. “It was broken enough that it eventually shattered.”
There were no reported witnesses. Officers have cited the incident as criminal mischief.
