School bus crash injures driver

No students were on board in Monday morning’s bus crash on CR 252, about .2 miles east of 135th Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, but the driver of the bus, Janice Floyd Thompson, 33, of McAlpin, received minor injuries.


According to FHP, a 2003 Ford Expedition, driven by April Denslow, 33, Live Oak, was traveling eastbound on CR 252 around 6:25 a.m. The 2011 Thomas school bus was traveling westbound on CR 252. As the two vehicles began to pass one another, the left side mirrors of the vehicles struck one another.


Neither Denslow or her passengers, Wayne A. Morgan, 33, Live Oak, and three kids ages 2, 4 and 8, received injuries. 


All were wearing seat belts.
