Semi fire stops Interstate traffic

- Suwannee County Fire/Rescue firefighters contain the scene on I-10 after a small fire on this truck. Both Eastbound lanes at mile marker 286 were closed for a few minutes, causing traffic to back up for about three miles.
Suwannee County Fire/Rescue was dispatched to I-10 Eastbound, mile marker 286, in response to a semi that caught fire Wednesday afternoon. Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol officers shut down both lanes of Eastbound traffic for about 20 minutes. Traffic was backed up for about three miles.
SCFR Fire Marshal Tim White said the fire appeared to be minor.
No injuries were reported.
