Looks like the county commissioners will try to justify buying the extra land near the Klausner site unless the citizens start attending the commission meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday’s of every month. Stand up and allow your voice to be heard. Resist their efforts to bankcrupt our county.

Please fellow Live Oak residents, the term TIPS stands for To Insure Prompt Service. In order for us to have prompt restaurant service provide your server with a 15 percent tip. A DOLLAR PER PERSON in 1950 would have been a great tip. Today a dollar per person on a sixty dollar tab is an insult to your server. Bless your heart.

No wonder Adam Prins is a target of the Good Old Boys. He is cleaning house and they are trying to hold on to their power.

The hoopla caused by the Mayor needs to end. They need to get back to doing City business and using tax payer dollars wisely.

Give it up Mayor every dog has his day in the sunshine. Yours has ended. It’s time for younger, smarter, better educated, wiser, and those who truly want to serve the people to take over. Please step aside. Your political days are over.
****
Keep it up Mr. Prins, you are doing the right thing for the City.

I agree with last week’s RNR that something needs to be done to address unauthorized golf carts on the City’s streets. Almost all are driven by unlicensed drivers and I would venture to say that practically none have the required insurance. Why isn’t this being enforced?
****
Wow. I have to laugh. Just read the article on the results of the Prins investigation. Then, in reading RNR, I read a comment praising Prins. I think someone is severely confused here. Next May can’t get here soon enough.

If the City is willing to settle for a part-time CRA Director, why didn’t they just keep Ms. Ventry? City Hall is out-of-control.

I don’t ever remember a time in recent history where there has been more chaos and confusion at City Hall. What gives? If the Council can’t do their job, resign for the good of the City. We need new leadership at City hall in all elected and appointed positions.

If a kid at school drew a stick figure holding a gun and a bullet headed toward someone he would be branded a truble maker, possible terriost, deranged, needs help, and his parents would be raked over the coals. But well know adults can do whatever. Anita Beilecki

Instead of the city & county funding 2 separate boards at tax payer expense to run a barely operating museum, why doesn’t the county take over operations since we are already paying for it & put an end to this fiasco?

Lafayette County should be more active on the internet. Mayo, Fl needs it’s own city website. Tourists and possible new residents and/or businesses will look on the internet first before coming here. – Jolene MacFadden – temporary visitor from Jax, Fl

Are we ready for a Debbie type tropical storm or hurricane? I say no! You say: How can you say that? Because I have see little ‘material change’. If the 5 commissioners are bent on buying land with tax payer’s money let then buy one acre (210’X 210′) on each side of the low paved county roads and built a ‘holding pond’ on each side. And, if we can build miles of bridges over water why can’t we build a bridge over a sink hole instead of pumping stuff in the hole which may end up in our drinking water?

Since the City is apparently stuck with Prins for one more year, why don’t they (the Council) pass a law where a Councilman can be suspended for unethical behavior? Obviously, we know one who will vote against that.

Would like to thank the City of Valdosta Councilmen ,and Lowndes County Commisssioners for doing a great job . How about a Big Fish fry with the fish that or caught out of the Suwannee ,and Withlacoochee river that your crap has flowed down lately . Thanks from your fishermen from Florida .

There is just something about this County Attorney hire that just doesn’t pass the smell test. Come on commissioners, we are watching you.

The remarks about comm. Bashaw’s continuing education reflect that he obviously isn’t planning on being a career politician, a good thing! I can’t recall a fulltime commisioner previously. He has been forward thinking, highly accessible, devotes a great deal of time to the job. All in all, a great improvement.

I would like to shout out a big Thank you to Commissioner Gamble for all his hard work and support for the hard working taxpayers in our county. He fights for what is right!!I am thankful we have at least ONE voice (the only one) on the BOCC.
