A car wash fundraiser will be held for Gage Tanner and Kacey Mathis, two local children with serious medical needs. The event will take place outside of Cheek and Scott on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Gage is the seven year old son of Michael and Candie Tanner. He has a twin brother named Gavan and two sisters, Jade and Saige. When he was about two years old he started having health issues and was finally diagnosed with ganglioglioma, which is a brain tumor. Gage has been in and out of the hospital, and is currently on an experimental medication hoping to reduce the tumor.
Kacey is the 22 month old daughter of Jonathan and Amber Mathis. She has a twin sister name Lacey.  Kacey has an incurable kidney disease and had both of her kidneys removed this past June.  She received a hemodialysis device and is able to receive her treatments at home.
One hundred percent of all money raised will go to these two families to help with medical expenses and to help better the lives of their children. Please consider giving generously. The fundraiser is sponsored by Friendship Baptist Youth. Please call 386-209-2016 for more information or to make a donation. Cheek and Scott is located in the South Oaks Square in Live Oak at 1520 S. Ohio Ave.
