Get ready for Pregnancy Care Center’s Walk/Run 4 Life

The Pregnancy Care Center is revving up for a morning of good family fun and exercise at Live Oak and Lake City as it hosts its Annual Walk4Life on Sept. 28. Live Oak will also have a Sanctioned 5k Run4Life on the same day. Three events in two cities, one great cause.

The Lake City walk is at Olustee Park downtown. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m. The Live Oak Walk registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Coliseum and the walk begins at 9 a.m. There is a $10 minimum for walkers. However, participants are encouraged to get sponsors to help with their fundraising efforts for the Pregnancy Care Center. Sponsor forms can be downloaded at www.friendsofpcc.com.
The 5k Run4Life is at Live Oak only. Registration is at 7 a.m. and the race is at 8 a.m.There is an award ceremony for the runners following the race. The first 100 registrants will receive a free T-shirt and a gift bag. This is a sanctioned, chip-timed race, directed by j7 Sports Events out of Orlando. The Walk/5kRun4Life allows everyone to walk or run in support of unborn babies and giving them an opportunity for a lifetime. The Pregnancy Care Center is a non-profit organization that supports women and men during an unexpected pregnancy, as well as offering resource support for those parents and babies in need.
Join the Pregnancy Care Center for the Walk/Runs, food and entertainment as well as prizes. Prizes will be awarded to all participants in the Walk and will increase in value based on money raised individually. The 5K Run4Life’s top overall Male and Female performers, as well as 1st and 2nd in each category, male and female will receive medals.
