Jasper home destroyed by fire

- A nearby oak tree was singed from flames shooting out from the house fire.
Multiple fire units responded to a structure fire in a residential area behind the Hamilton County Jail in Jasper.
According to officials, a call came into dispatch at 1:32 p.m. today that a house was fully engulfed in flames at 11022 NW 38 Drive in Jasper with another structure in danger, as well as downed power lines.
At least 10 emergency units from Jasper and Hamilton County responded to the call, as well as responders from Duke Energy.
According to a witness at the scene, no one was inside the home at the time of the incident. No other information is currently available.
