Wild Adventures announces 2014 concert season

Wild Adventures announces its 2014 concert line-up today, with a list that includes a regional “American Idol” winner and a country music star from Lowndes County.

Albany native and “American Idol” sensation Phillip Phillips will perform at the theme park in early April. Phillips took the top prize in the television talent search in 2012 with country music singing and guitar picking.
Rhett Akins has enjoyed country music success for nearly 20 years as a recording artist and as a songwriter. In June, for the Wild Adventures concert, he will be joined by his son, Thomas Rhett.
In providing The Times a sneak peek at the concert schedule, Molly Deese, Wild Adventures general manager, said, “This year, passholders have the opportunity to get the best seats to their favorite concerts on the same day that we announce the concert line-up. Our passholders are passionate about the concerts at Wild Adventures and this year they can get their reserved seats right away.”
The park has even announced a special Passholder Appreciation Concert, scheduled to kick off the concert season. The show brings Roots & Boots to the stage. Roots & Boots features country stars Sammy Kershaw, Joe Diffie, Aaron Tippin. Passholders receive a pair of free reserved seats for this show on a first-come, first-serve basis on the March 29 date of this concert.
All of the concerts are included in park admission or with a season pass. Reserved seating for all other concerts costs additional money. An additional concert is expected to be added to the following schedule soon.
