Members of the Valdosta Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at the Blanton Commons apartment complex Monday around 2:30 p.m. The source of the fire was pinpointed to the engine compartment, but could not be linked to any specific engine component, VFD Capt. Kevin Boutwell said. The interior of the vehicle was completely burned. No one was in the vehicle at the time the fire started.
