Ronald Lee Johnson
May 19, 1936 – April 14, 2014
Ronald Lee Johnson, 77, of Mayo, Fla., passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 in Baya Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lake City. Ronald was born May 19, 1936 in Pennsylvania to Mr. and Mrs. Carmen and Della Johnson. Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist Faith and a veteran of the U.S. Air National Guard.
He worked as an electronic technician for Lockheed Martin in Orlando for more than 10 years before working as a switchman for Alltell where he retired after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents Carmen and Della Johnson, and a son Jerry Johnson in 1987.
He is survived by, a son, Michael Lee Johnson, and his wife Betty, of Live Oak, a daughter Laurie Feagle, of Lake City, 1 sister, Rita Randall, of Decatur, AR, 3 grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Mayo with Bro. Randy Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery in Mayo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Mayo. All arrangements are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
