·         The Board may add additional items to this agenda.

·         Affirmative action on any item includes authorization of Chairman’s, or designee’s, signature on all associated documents.

·         Speakers from the audience will be allowed three (3) minutes to speak on items listed within this agenda following recognition by the Chairman and must speak from the podium.  Comments must be limited to items listed on the agenda and speakers may only make one (1) trip to the podium regarding each item they wish to speak on.

1.      Approval of payment of processed invoices.

 

2.      Approval of annual Subterranean Termite Treatment Contract and Limited Warranty Retreatment, with Live Oak Pest Control, in the amount of $119.23 annually, for Suwannee County Coliseum.

 

3.      Approval of Settlement Agreement and Change Order for relocation of light poles at the Airport.

 

4.      Approval of Change Order No. 2 (Final) for Music Construction for work on the Apron Rehabilitation and New High Mast Lights project at the Airport.

 

5.      Approval of Master Agreement with URS Corporation for General Engineering Consulting at the Airport.

 

6.      Approval of Supplemental Agreement No. 13 for professional services associated with the development of a Medical Helicopter site at the Airport.

 

7.      Approval of Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement with Florida Department of Transportation.

 

8.       Authorization to advertise for bids for a Domestic Boiler at County Jail.

 

9.      Award bid for Water Treatment for Energy Plant to Chem-Aqua, Inc. in the amount of $5,669.37. (Bid Solicitation No. 2014-09) (Bids were opened on April 29, 2014.)

 

10.   Award bid for Restorative Carpet Cleaning to Reliable Carpet Cleaning in the amount of $15,432.42. (Bid Solicitation No. 2014-10) (Bids were opened on April 29, 2014.)

 

11.   Adoption of Resolution requesting the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged designate the Suwannee Valley Transit Authority as Designated Official Planning Agency for the  regional service area of Columbia, Hamilton, and Suwannee Counties effective July 1, 2014.

PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS

 

12.   Recognition of the 100th Anniversary of the signing of the Smith-Lever Act, the founding legislation of the Nationwide Cooperative Extension System. (Katherine Allen, Extension Office Director)

 

TIME SPECIFIC ITEMS:

 

13.   At 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, hold first of two public hearings,

LDR 14-01, an application by the Board of County Commissioners to amend the text of the Land Development Regulations by deleting a portion of Section 4.4.2 entitled Permitted Principal Uses and Structures, Agricultural-1 (A-1) district, to delete Special Exceptions and Special Permits listed within the Agricultural-1 (A-1) district of Section 4.4.5 to be allowed by right on property designated as a Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern Catalyst Site; by deleting a portion of Section 4.14.2 entitled Permitted Principal Uses and Structures, to delete Special Exceptions and Special Permits listed in Section 4.14.5 to be allowed by right on property designated as a Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern Catalyst Site within the Commercial, Highway Interchange (CHI) district; by adding Section 4.15.12 entitled Access Requirements, to require that all ingress and egress points to each individual industrial establishment shall connect to a paved roadway that is constructed in accordance with the County and/or Florida Department of Transportation standards; by deleting a portion of Section 4.16.2 entitled Permitted Principal Uses and Structures to delete Special Exceptions and Special Permits listed in Section 4.16.5 to be allowed by right on property designated as a Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern Catalyst Site within the Industrial (I) district; by adding Section 4.16.12 entitled Access Requirements, to require that all ingress and egress points to each individual industrial establishment shall connect to a paved roadway that is constructed in accordance with the County and/or Florida Department of Transportation standards; by adding Section 4. 20 entitled “ICS” Industrial, Catalyst Site to establish a new zoning district entitled “ICS” Industrial, Catalyst Site; by amending a portion of Section 14.6.1 entitled Special Permits Issued by the Board of County Commissioners, to delete bio-medical waste incinerators and to clarify the uses listed are examples of special permits. 14.   At 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, hold first of two public hearings, to consider CPA 14-01, regarding an amendment to the Future Land use Map of Suwannee County amending the Future Land Use of properties located at the catalyst site from Agricultural-1 to Industrial and approval to transmit application to Department of Economic Opportunity.
