Flonnie Mae Buchanan
Oct. 3, 1936 –June 7, 2014
Flonnie Mae Buchanan, 77, of Mayo, Fla. passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Doctor’s Memorial Hospital in Perry following an extended illness. Mrs. Buchanan was born Oct. 3, 1936 in Perry, Fla. to the late Robert Lee and Mae Zell (Carter) Fowler.
She was known, and will be remembered, for her humor, which was present in most, if not all of her conversations with friends and family. Mrs. Buchanan was a homemaker who in her spare time enjoyed reading, visiting with her friends, and especially spending time with granddaughter Amy. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Severa Buchanan in Feb. of 2014.
She is survived by two sons, Donald R. Buchanan Mayo, Fla. and Michael G. Buchanan, of Melbourne, Fla., one brother, Bill Fowler of Perry, Fla., two sisters Maurice Tomley of Perry and Carolyn Davis of Tallahassee, Fla, one granddaughter, Amy Rivera of Tyler, TX as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at graveside 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Day Cemetery with Pastor Todd Babione officiating. All arrangements are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
