To the person unable to leave Lowndes County: U.S. 84 always works for me.

Why is it that gun lovers place the lethal improvements made to firearms in the same category as improvements in publication and communications? One promotes human understanding, the other death and injury. Twisted up minds and souls.

They tell us the economy is better and growing at 4 percent rate; my question is “where?” It’s not in Valdosta; we have been in decline since 2009. The price of everything is going up, taxes included, and our incomes are going down. No relief in sight!

Yes,  I do love my ObamaCare. Finally, insurance is not one of my worries concerning my health care. I am sorry your insurance went up. Please don’t predict or be a naysayer for the ones who are happy with ObamaCare. I am sorry things did not go as you wished but there are other people to be considered other than yourself. And as far as who is the worst president, everybody has an opinion.

Professionalism above and beyond. I would like to thank Greg and the GT’s Towing staff for helping me when my son’s vehicle was disabled out of town. They went above and beyond to help me get it back to Valdosta and even though I could not get help at the repair shop and the car was taken to my home. …

Has anyone in the city pondered why there is a constant need to hire firefighters? A study should be conducted to come up with a cost-saving solution. Rookie classes, gear, uniforms, and health insurance for people who leave so soon are expensive.

A recent rant stated: “How about informing yourself before you criticize?” Now, how un-American is that? Informing yourself of anything or having the intelligence or patience to check into something before you comment? Why that is so unimportant, they don’t even teach it in school! The ability to comment on things a person knows absolutely nothing about, has no training in, no experience or knowledge of, is the American way!

When the city paves a street, they immediately chop it up exposing man hole covers. In 20 years of driving through the city have only seen manholes being accessed a few times. Most covers will never be opened so please just mark the pavement with a spot of paint and let the taxpayers enjoy the smooth streets they are paying for.
