A truck tore through the fencing around O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Store on Friday, Nov. 21, after it accelerated past a stop sign, according to a Live Oak Police Department report.
At around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, a single vehicle crash was reported near O’Reilly’s located at 826 Ohio Ave. in Live Oak. An LOPD investigation deduced that Live Oak resident Angela Williams had been driving a 2009 GMC Sierra pickup truck west on Westmoreland St. Instead of decelerating at the stop sign at the intersection of Westmoreland St. and S. Ohio Ave., Williams accelerated past the stop sign and over Ohio Ave. Her vehicle struck the handicap ramp in front of O’Reilly’s and continued across the store’s parking lot, striking a fence on the far north end of the property, according to the LOPD report.
The LOPD report states that William was not injured as a result of the crash and that charges are pending further investigation.
