William Eston Browning

Mr. William Eston Browning, 64, of Homerville, Ga., passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family following a short illness.
Mr. Browning was born Feb. 19, 1950, in Stockton, Ga., to the late Ernest Browning and Doris Royals Browning. He was a very dedicated and loyal employee of Langdale Forest Products Co., Valdosta, for 40 years and never missed work even while going through his cancer treatments. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loving to hunt all over South Georgia. He was a member of the Unity Christian Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Clarence Browning and Buddy Browning and two sisters: Martha Janice Browning and Brenda Browning.
Survivors are his wife, Arlene Davis Browning, Homerville; one daughter and son-in-law: Nancy B. and Danny Corbitt, Homerville; two sons and daughters-in-law, William Alton and Jennifer Browning and Tony and Lorrie Browning, all of Homerville; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Linda and Mike McDonald, Stapleton, Ga., and Patricia and John Colgrove, Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest “Cotton Top” and Penny Browning, Lakeland, Ga., and Benjamin and Nancy Stewart, St. Augustine, Fla.; 11 grandchildren plus one miracle grandchild on the way; two great-grandchildren, a special cousin and best friend, Tommy Royals; and a number of other cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Browning was held, Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Fender Cemetery, Lakeland, Ga.
