Linda Louise “Lindy” Smith

Linda Louise “Lindy” Smith, 53, of Lawrenceville, Ga., passed away on Sun., Dec. 7, 2014, after a struggle with cancer in Decatur, Ga. Lindy was a vibrant woman known for spreading cheer and kindness. She was particularly noted for her beautiful also singing voice. Lindy was born in Gainesville, Ga., to Franklin L. & Mabel (Miles) Mathis. She grew up in Gillsville, Ga. and graduated from East Hall High School. Since her marriage in 1988, she has lived in Lawrenceville, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Shelby Pace. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Madison Smith of Lawrenceville; her two sons, Luke M. Smith of Athens, Ga., and Paul F. Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; her sister, Judy Thomas of Tucker, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration service of her life shall take place Thurs., Dec. 11, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Snellville, Ga., 3 p.m., with family visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Also, on Sat. Dec. 13, at Brewer Lake Baptist Church in Day, Fla., will be visitation at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m., with burial following at the Day Cemetery. In lieu of funeral flowers, Lindy requested that you give flowers to your family and loved ones still living or give a memorial gift to Mount Zion Baptist Church or Samaritan’s Purse. A. S. Turner & Sons, (404-292-1551) Decatur, GA are handling the Georgia arrangements. Daniel’s Funeral Home, (386-362-4333) Live Oak, Fla. are handling the Florida arrangements.

Thomas Rogachesky – 82, formerly of Wendel, PA. Preceded in death by parents, Huston and Antonia (Rutkowski) Rogachesky and son Barry.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years: Shirley (Futscher); daughters: Terry Wareham (Andy), Smithville, TX, Amy Norsworthy (Sonny), Rosenberg, TX, Jill Williams (Chris), Rockledge, Fla.; sons: Thomas (Martha), Kissimmee, Fla., Mark, Kissimmee, Fla., Lee (Kelly), Orlando, Fla.; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Thursday Dec.11, at San Juan Mission Catholic Church.

Robert J. Wolfe

Robert J. Wolfe, 81 of Mayo, died at home Sunday Dec. 7, 2014 after a noble fight against illness with his devoted wife and family by his side.
Robert graduated from Suwannee High School class of 1951 and received his degree in architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1957. He worked as an architect for 51 years on residential and commercial projects.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Jay Wolfe and sister Georgia Ledbetter. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lisa and their faithful canine Cupcake.
Robert was cherished and will be missed terribly by his extended family including life long friend and mother-in-law Diana Windham, sisters-in-law Lynne and Laurie Windham and niece Savanna Gutapfel.
He is also survived by nephew Skip Ledbetter (Joanne) and nieces Holly Solsona (Joe), Dee Lavendera (Jesus) and Greta Peterson (David).
Robert proudly served in the United States Navy three years in active duty and five years as a reservists.
A Memorial service will be held at Gateway Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 3596 South U.S. Highway 441, Lake City, Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at 2 p.m., with Chaplin Donna Carlile officiating.
