Ronald E. Parks

Mr. Ronald E. Parks age 5l,  of Lakeland, Ga.,  passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at his residence in Lakeland following an extended illness.

A native of Broward County, Fl., Mr. Parks was born Feb. 21, l963,  son of Gladys Giddens Parks and the late Jamie Parks, Sr.  He worked in the electronics field for many years, was a U. S. Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother, Gladys Giddens Parks of Lakeland, Ga.; four daughters, Jessica Parks, Michelle Parks, and Robyn Aldridge,  all of Moultrie, Stephanie Harden of Albany, Ga.; one brother,  Jamie E. Parks, Jr. of Hahira; one sister, Bridget Coody of Valdosta; special friend,  Mary Sue Jarvis and family of Lakeland, Ga.; nine grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Parks were held at 2 p.m.  Friday, Dec. 19, 2014  at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Kirkland, Ga. with the Rev. Teddy Burch officiating.  Interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.  

Serving as active pallbearers were  Rodney Hufstetler, Michael Hufstetler, Bit Hufstetler, Tony Guerrero, Church Parks and Christopher Fehling. — Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga.
