Jacqueline “Jackie” L. Pugh, a resident of Live Oak, Florida, passed away Jan. 4, 2015, in Shands Hospital of Gainesville, Florida.
Mrs. Jacqueline “Jackie” L. Pugh leaves her fun memories to her mother: Ms. Rosetta Newsome of Live Oak, Florida; one daughter: Candice Wells, Live Oak, Florida; three grandchildren; one brother: Cedric Famble Sr., Tampa, Florida; one sister: Lillie Lovett of Daytona Beach, Florida; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.
Funeral services for Jackie will be Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. in Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Live Oak, Florida.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, from 7-8 p.m. in Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Live Oak, Florida.
Burial will be in the Beulah Hill Cemetery in Live Oak, Florida.

Iva Joe Law
Jan. 5, 1951 – Jan. 2, 2015
Iva Joe Law, 63, a long time resident of Surrey Place Care Center in Live Oak, Fla., passed away at Haven Hospice, Lake City, Fla., on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015.
Iva Joe was born Jan. 5, 1951, in Live Oak, Fla., to the late Herman and Jewel Bell (Ward) Law. She is survived by three sisters: Ernestine (Crandall) Bales and Marie Haire of Lake City, Fla., and Doris (Bobby) Warner of Live Oak, Fla.; three brothers: Dwight (Frankie) Law of Wellborn, Fla., Wendell (Betty) Law, of Goldsboro, NC, and Kennith Law, of El Campo, TX; a special uncle and aunt, Dale and Helen Cullum, of Searcy, AK; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Iva Joe were held at Gateway Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Lake City on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at 1 p.m. The services were conducted by the Rev. Lester Curry of Live Oak and his wife Ellie Curry, Chaplain of Surrey Place Care Center in Live Oak.
Interment followed at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Live Oak/Wellborn, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either Suwannee Valley Care Center (Haven Hospice), 6037 US Hwy 90 West, Lake City, Fla., or to the Activities Department of Surrey Place Care Center, 110 Lee Avenue, Live Oak, Fla.

Virginia P. Brindle
Jan. 1, 2015
Virginia P. Brindle passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015. Beloved wife of James H. Brindle (deceased) and survived by son: Dana, his wife Darlene, brother: L.G. Perdue and his wife Karen.; nieces and nephews in Ala., Fla. and NC. The Brindle’s spent 42 years in the West Palm Beach area before moving to Live Oak in 1994. James enjoyed early retirement and VA. after thirty years in banking as a Vice President and was a member of the National Association of Bank Women, Gold Coast Chapter.
There was a visitation held on Thursday, Jan. 8 at Daniels Memorial Chapel from 10 – 11 a.m. the service followed at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Marshell officiating. In lieu of flowers family members request donations be made to Hospice or your favorite charity.

Alan Hake Armsheimer
Feb. 16, 1938 – Dec. 29, 2014
Alan Hake Armsheimer was born in Bronx, New York on Feb.16, 1938, to Bertram and Audrey Adriance Armsheimer. As a teenager he loved to take his boat out and fish. After attending Melham High School in Bellmore, New York, he then entered the U. S. Navy where he served on the USS Strickland. When he completed his tour of service in the Navy he decided to go to the Police Academy where he graduated and became a Freeport, (Nassau County) New York Police Officer. He was a servant of the law and community known as Big Al. One of his big accomplishments as a police officer was delivering a baby in his patrol car. He enjoyed helping people of all ages and had a gift to engage in conversation with anyone. Al retired after 20 years of service to public. He then moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. and started a lawn service business with his son Mike. Al decided to move to McAlpin, Fla. where he lived for 15 years raising black angus cows. He loved his farm and also worked at Farmers’ Cooperative until he retired to tend to his farm full time. Al had a wonderful personality which made him loved by all. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Alan was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Eileen Koehler Armsheimer. He is survived by his wife, MarieAnne Theresa Armsheimer, one daughter, Linda Ann (Jim) Hrapski, Branford, Fla. and two sons, Michael Alan (Susan) Armsheimer, Clearwater, Fla., and Richard Alan (Tina) Armsheimer, Waldo, Fla. and two step-daughters, Lynn Marie (Todd) Lawrence, Live Oak, Fla. and Aymee Jean (George) Wilson, Live Oak, Fla. and sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Edith R. Bright
Oct. 4, 1923 – Dec. 23, 2014
Edith R. Bright, 91, of Live Oak, Fla. passed away, Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at Lake City Medical Center in Lake City, Fla. She was born on Oct. 4, 1923 in Lula, Oklahoma to the Late George H. Tiner and Florence E. Russell-Tiner.
Edith was a loving wife, mother, devoted grandmother and a friend to all. She has left her family with so many wonderful memories. She was known to many as the “GREAT MIMI”. She will be forever in our hearts.
Mrs. Bright was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Brown. She is survived by her son, Paul Bright of Chiefland, Fla.; four grandchildren, Deanna Yott of Live Oak, Fla., Eric Musgrave of Largo, Fla., Richard Bright of Gainesville, Fla. and Melissa Moffatt of Tampa, Fla.; six great grandchildren, Michael and Justin Yott of Live Oak, Fla., Ashley and Thomas Musgrave of Iowa Park, TX, Jordan Wilkerson and Haiden Moffatt of Tampa, Fla.

Christy Di Petta, Jr.
Nov. 3, 1927 – Jan. 5, 2015
Christy passed away on Jan. 5, 2015 at Surrey Place. He is survived by his daughter, Christina Mitchell (Greg) and grandson, Christopher; his son, John Di Petta, granddaughters, Lara, Sara and Jenna, and two great-grandchildren, Molly and Cody, with another grandchild due in Feb.; his sister, Phyllis Cellini, and her children.
Chris was a barber for over 50 years from Jacksonville to Miami, where he owned his own shop with his dad: Christy and Son’s Barbershop. He moved from Miami to Georgia and worked in Tucker and Kennesaw. He moved to Live Oak in 2013 to be with his daughter and her family.
The Memorial Service is Saturday, Jan.10, 2015, at 11 a.m. at First Advent Christian Church of Live Oak.
