A Wellborn man was arrested for possession of child pornography on Wednesday, Feb. 4, after the Florida Department of Law Enforcement discovered several images on the man’s iPad, according to an FDLE report.

On Jan. 14, FDLE served a search warrant at the residence of Gregory Shaun Betz, 33, 10218 Adams Rd., Wellborn, based on probable cause of an unknown person at the home downloading and sharing images of child pornography online, according to FDLE reports. No one was home during the FDLE search, and Betz’ iPad and other digital storage devices were seized, FDLE reports.

Betz’ iPad was forensically examined and, according to FDLE, forensic examiners found a few images of children in sexually suggestive poses. Only one image met the statutory definition of child pornography, stated the FDLE report.

Betz was booked into the Suwannee County Jail on Feb. 4 for possession of child pornography.
