Wild Adventures Park announces 2015 concerts

VALDOSTA — Wild Adventures announces its 2015 concert line-up today, and The Valdosta Daily Times was granted a sneak peek at the coming slate of performers.

The line-up features shows ranging from classic rock to contemporary Christian to country.

“Thirteen concerts have been announced with one additional act still to be revealed in the coming weeks to round out the 14 concert line-up,” according to Wild Adventures.

World Classic Rockers: The ultimate classic rock all-star band featuring performances by former members of Journey, Boston, Santana, Steppenwolf and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Gavin DeGraw: Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw rose to fame with singles from his album “Chariot” including “I Don’t Want to Be” and “Follow Through.” His music has also been featured in movies including “Safe Haven” and “Dolphin Tale 2.”

Thousand Foot Krutch, Flyleaf: Award-winning Christian rock band, Thousand Foot Krutch, brings a raw rock sound to the stage. Flyleaf’s self-titled album went platinum and the group’s follow-up album cracked the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top 200.

Jerrod Neimann: A favorite on country radio, Jerrod Neimann has produced six Top 40 hits including “Lover, Lover” and “Drink to that All Night.”

Foreigner: This iconic classic rock band first appeared on the music scene more than 30 years ago and is still going strong. The seven-member band is responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems including “Juke Box Hero,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Cold as Ice,” “Hot Blooded” and the worldwide No. 1 hit “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

Shawn Mendes, Kingsland Road: Singer, songwriter and Internet sensation Shawn Mendes was the youngest artist with a debut song on Billboard’s Hot 100 last July when he was not quite 16. British boy band Kingsland Road was a fan favorite on the 2013 season of “The X Factor.”

Justin Moore: Country star Justin Moore is the Academy of Country Music’s 2014 New Artist of the Year. His No.1 hits include “Small Town USA,” “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” “’Til My Last Day” and “Lettin’ The Night Roll.”

Casting Crowns: Grammy and Dove award-winning Christian band Casting Crowns has recorded more than 10 albums, most of which have gone both platinum and gold. “Voice of Truth,” “East To West,” “Praise You In This Storm” and “Who Am I” are the four Digital Gold Singles. Lecrae, Trip Lee, DJ Promote: Christian rapper, songwriter and record producer Lecrae has won a Grammy Award, four GMA Dove Awards, a Stellar Award and a Soul Train Music Award for his positive and inspirational take on hip-hop music. An acclaimed rapper, author and pastor Trip Lee has released five albums, received two Dove Award nominations and more than 11 million YouTube views. Known for his high-energy mixing skills and stage presence, DJ Promote is a disc jockey with more than 15 years of turntable experience who has become an authority on moving crowds.

Eli Young Band: One of country music’s favorites, this group has charted eight times on Billboard country charts, with three singles reaching number one including “Crazy Girl” and “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.”

Tamela Mann: Easily recognizable as Cora in Tyler Perry’s “Madea” movies, Mann began her career as a gospel singer and was named Best Female Gospel Artist of the Year and Best Gospel Artist in 2014 at the BET Awards.

Jennifer Nettles: Douglas native and multi-Grammy award winner, Nettles has become one of the most popular singer-songwriters in music today. She’s won five ASCAP awards for her songwriting and in 2008 individually received a Grammy, ACM and CMA award for penning the emotionally charged, platinum-selling No. 1 hit “Stay.”

Skillet: Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling rockers Skillet are known for a high-energy stage presence and crossover chart topping No. 1 hits like “Not Gonna Die” and “Awake & Alive.” The band was Billboard’s No. 1 Christian Streaming Artist of 2014 following the 2013 Dove Award-winning release “RISE,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Rock and Christian charts.
