Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stakich of Valdosta are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Rose Stakich, to Colin Michael Walker, son of Mark Walker of Syracuse, N.Y., and Pam Walker of Liverpool, N.Y.

The bride-elect graduated from Open Bible Christian School in 2009. She received her bachelor of arts degree in English from Valdosta State University in December 2012. She is currently a second-year law student at the University of Georgia School of Law.

Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Haynes of Valdosta and Ellen Sayers and the late Daniel Stakich of Cleveland, Tenn.

The future groom graduated from Cicero North Syracuse High School in 2006.  He received his bachelor of arts degree in communications from Marist College in 2010. He also received a Master of Arts degree in electronic media production from Central Michigan University in 2012. He currently teaches at Valdosta State University and is pursuing a doctorate in education at Valdosta State.

His grandparents are Cornelius Miller and the late  Eleanor Jean Miller of Liverpool, N.Y., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Walker of Syracuse, N.Y.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, December 19, 2015.
