Willis Carwise Sr

Jan. 23, 1932 – Feb. 11, 2015

Willis Carwise Sr. was born Jan. 23, 1932, to the late Dolphus and Georgian Carwise in Oviedo, Fla. On Feb. 11, 2015, God sent an angel of mercy to peacefully remove a fully bloomed rose from his garden.

Willie was a very generous and compassionate man, who loved his family.  His favorite hobbies was fishing and playing checkers with his dear friend Ted Henderson.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Shirley Bellamy and two sons Stephen and Willie Carwise Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Rose (Byron), Diane (David), Larry, Mark (Cassandra), Cynthia (Michael), Tracy (Keith), Maurice (Clive), Howard Bernard, Tyrone, Shirley Ann, Darlene, Joyce Ann and Willie III.  Sister: Doris (Rupert) and Brothers: Clarence (Cynthia) and Calvin.  A host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, cousins and friends.

Funeral  Service will be held Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, 11 a.m. at New National Grove Missionary Baptist Church 8283 105th Road Live Oak, Fla. 32060. Internment at East End Cemetery to follow.
