SAWYER BROWN BAND – Sawyer Brown has played more than 4,000 shows since it began in 1981. “We are just who we are—period,” says lead singer Mark Miller. “From the beginning, we didn’t want to sell ourselves as something we weren’t. We’re blue collar, working class guys from the neighborhood who just happen to get up on stage at night and make music.” The band has gold and platinum albums, with an impressive discography that includes dozens of hits, among them “Some Girls Do,” “The Dirt Road,” “The Walk,” “Thank God for You,” “The Boys and Me,” “Step That Step,” “Drive Me Wild,” ‘The Race is On,” “Six Days On the Road” and many more performed during high energy concerts. This will be one of several trips to the Suwannee River Jam for Sawyer over the years for Sawyer Brown’s adoring fans.
RODNEY ATKINS – Rodney Atkins is an award-winning country music singer/songwriter with six number one hits from his first three albums, from “Watching You” and “These Are My People” to his most recent smashes, “Take A Back Road,” and “Farmer’s Daughter,” (which quickly skyrocketed to platinum,) and he’s sold over four million singles in the past five years alone. Other hits include “It’s America,” “Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy)” and “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows).” His fourth studio album, Take A Back Road, yielded Atkins’ fastest-rising single to date, “Take A Back Road.” His newest single, “Doin’ It Right,” is now out on iTunes. Rodney just released his newest album, Rodney Atkins – Greatest Hits, via Curb Records this month.
JOSH TURNER – Whether it’s with his deep, soulful voice, his South Carolina accent or his philosophy on life, Josh Turner has never been one to hurry. A memorable country song recently convinced him to pick up his pace. The singer-songwriter was months away from scheduled recording sessions when he first heard “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” which became the debut single from his fourth studio album, Haywire. His latest single is “Lay Low,” which is currently #29 on Bob Kingsley’s American Country Top 40. Josh is a double-platinum-selling singer, songwriter and disciple of traditional country music, a mentor to up-and-coming artists —and one of the youngest members of the Grand Ole Opry. Josh’s latest album, Punching Bag, his fifth for MCA Nashville, is a great collection of bluegrass-influenced barnburners, lonesome lament, and the slow and steady love ballads. Some of his top career songs include “Would You Go With Me,” “Your Man,” “Time is Love,’ “All Over Me,” “Lord Have Mercy On A Country Boy,” “Me and God,” “Find Me a Baby” and “Way Down South.”
CHRIS YOUNG – Chris Young has accomplished more by 29 than some artists do in a lifetime. Already a Grammy-nominated recording artist, he’s also a dynamic live performer consistently in demand, an international ambassador for his genre, a talented songwriter with six #1 songs to his name (he wrote four of them) and a handsome charmer to boot. Some of his hits are “Lonely Eyes,” currently #13 on Billboard’s Hot Country songs, #8 on Billboard’s Country Airplay Songs and # 9 on Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40, “Aw Naw,” “The Man I Want To Be,” “Tomorrow” and “Voices.” When all is said and done, it only takes two words to sum up the career of Chris Young: definitely country. He has received plenty of Grammy, ACM and CMA nomination and was recently named one of the summer’s top tour openers by Entertainment Weekly.
JOHN ANDERSON – Florida artist John Anderson is well-known to SRJ fans as he’s been one of the most popular country artists in the USA and at the SRJ over the years with multiple performances! Known for his super hits in country music such as “I’m Just an Old Chunk of Coal (But I’m Gonna Be a Diamond Someday),” “Wild and Blue,” “Swingin’,” “Straight Tequila Night,” “When It Comes to You,” “Long Black Veil,” “Chicken Truck,” “Seminole Wind” and “Money in the Bank,” John has won numerous awards, including the CMA Horizon Award, was nominated for a Grammy as well as Male Vocalist, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
THOMPSON SQUARE – Thompson Square isn’t a real place, exactly. It’s the musical territory staked out by the husband and wife duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson, an exciting and unpredictable area where country meets rock, rough meets smooth and one vagabond heart finds a harmonious common ground with another. “It’s the place where we create our thing, a little fantasyland where we live,” Keifer says. And now the rest of us get to discover that magical place, starting with the duo’s new self-titled debut album Thompson Square. Fans began truly getting to know their way around Thompson Square with the release of the infectious radio smash, “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” a fitting introduction to the Thompsons’ natural chemistry and spirit of buoyant romance. Thompson Square earned two nominations from New Music Weekly Magazine Awards in January forCountry Group/Duo of the Year and Country Group of the Year.
LOCASH – LoCash, formerly known as LoCash Cowboys since the duo’s inception in 2004, has just signed a record deal with Revival Records in December of 2014 and released its first single, “I Love This Life,” Feb. 23. Chris Lucas and Preston Brust are no strangers to Suwannee River Jam (SRJ) fans as they have consistently played the SRJ for many years to their fans’ delight! Last year Chris and Preston toured for months on the Livin’ Loud Tour before signing with Revival. As usual, LoCash is chomping at the bit to get back on the road, entertain their fans as only LoCash can. Meanwhile they are making the rounds of radio stations promoting their new single. The single can be bought on LoCash’s website and Facebook page. Psyche yourself up now for this beyond high energy duo who will entertain you as no other country group can!
COREY SMITH – Cory, born and raised in Jefferson, Ga., has carved out a successful career by writing and singing not about the idealized country imagery of trucks and bonfires, but by depicting truthfully the experience of growing up far from big-city sidewalks. Corey recently recorded “Ain’t Going Out Tonight” for his ninth album. Corey has amassed an unfailingly devout fan base all around the nation. He was named as one of Live Nation’s “Ones to Watch” Touring Headliners in 2013, shared the stage with Darius Rucker and his “Ain’t Going Out Tonight” was featured as a “Highway Find” on Sirius XM.
