Wild Azalea Festival starts tomorrow

The town of White Springs is hosting the 15th Annual Wild Azalea Festival this weekend, Friday and Saturday, March 20-21. The theme is “Come Eat, Dance, Walk among Artists & Run by the River”.

The Wild Azalea Festival begins at 4 p.m. Friday with a guided Suwannee River hike. From 5:30-8 p.m. check out the Sweets & Eats food tasting party at the Nature and Tourism Center, followed by a Street Dance from 7-10 p.m., featuring live music from DV3.

Saturday morning the 5K Family Fun Run by the River begins at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m. the Festival begins in the center of town, featuring handmade arts and crafts of all kinds, craft demonstrators, live music and delicious food. 

The Adams Country Store will be open to the public and there will be live music on stage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. next to the tourism center featuring local musicians. You’ll find a special children’s area at the entrance to Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park. Wild Azaleas will be on sale and the Festival will end after the Duck Race in the Suwannee River. So, come eat, dance, walk or run by the river. The festival is free!
