ATLANTA— Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Hunter of Atlanta, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elisabeth Hunter, to Marcus Henry Malone, son of  Mr. and Mrs. William Malone of Valdosta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sister Force and the late Dr. Everett Force of Valdosta, and Mr. Cliff Hunter and the late Mrs. Sue Hunter of Edmond, Okla.  The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Brookwood High School; 2011 graduate of Oklahoma Christian University; and is scheduled to graduate May 2015 with a Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama. She is employed by an independent financial advisor.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cone and the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Malone, all of Valdosta. He is a 2002 graduate of Georgia Christian School and a 2007 graduate of Faulkner University. He is employed by The U.S. Department of Justice. 

The private wedding is set to take place May 9, 2015 at The Crescent in Valdosta. The bride-elect’s grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Everett Force, were the first couple to marry at the Valdosta landmark 60 years ago on June 11, 1955.
