Theresa Vena Nargi

Theresa Vena Nargi, 98, of Valdosta died on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her residence following a short illness. She was born on September 24, 1916 in Stamford, Conn. to the late Anthony and Philamena Moccia Vena. Mrs. Nargi was employed with the Royal Typewriter Company as a bookkeeper and later was employed as a personal assistant to the judge of the Probate Court in Stamford, Conn. Mrs. Nargi was extremely devoted to her family and was known as the family historian. She was able to recall with great ease all the birth dates for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other extended family members. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 78 years, Michael Nargi; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ronald and Ellen Nargi of Stuart, Fla., Robert Nargi of Valdosta, Edward and Janice Nargi of Hahira, Michael Jr., and Charlene Nargi of Valdosta; 18 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Vena, John Vena, and Michael Vena, and her daughter-in-law, Margaret Nargi.
A memorial service for Theresa Vena Nargi will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Brian LaBurt officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. — Carson McLane Funeral Home.
