VALDOSTA— Mr. and Mrs. Mike Samaras announce the  engagement of their daughter, Shayla Samaras of Valdosta to Benjamin Garcia of Valdosta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cesar  Garcia of Conyers, Ga.

A wedding is planned  for 2:00 p.m. May 23, 2015 at Lake Park United Methodist Church in Lake Park, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Betty Swymer, Mr. and Mrs. John Samaras; and great-granddaughter of  Mrs. Joyce Samaras all of Valdosta and  Mrs. Violet Keener of Greensboro, N.C. The bride-elect is pursuing an Early Childhood/Special Education degree at Valdosta State University, graduating May 2015.

The groom-elect received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Valdosta State University. The groom-elect is employed with  CCB Tech Group as a Computer Engineer.
