Evonne Skipper “Kitty” Carver

Evonne Skipper “Kitty” Carver, 81, of White Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 7, 2015, at the Suwannee Valley Haven Hospice surrounded by her family after an extended illness. Kitty was born on March 2, 1934 to the late Arthur Emmett and Ruby Stone Skipper. She has been a resident of White Springs for most of her life. She worked for the US Postal Service for 34 years where she was loved by many of the children and people on her mail route. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the White Springs United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Sonny Carver; daughter: Diane Carver and sisters: Dolores Rowell and Sarah Hight.

She is survived by her son Larry Carver (Libby) of White Springs; brothers: Donnie Skipper (Cheryl) and Richard Skipper (Shelly); sister: Nan Haines (Roy); grandchildren: Daniel (Cathy) Laura (Bryon) and Lars Carver; Crystal (Tim) Leeman and Thomas Combass; six great grandchildren along with many friends and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Kitty were conducted on Friday, April 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Riverside Cemetery in White Springs with Rev. Randy Ogburn officiating assisted by Rev. Brandon Witt. Interment followed. Viewing hours were from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, at the funeral home.
