Christian Radecki, 44, was seen climbing onto a marked patrol SUV in a Cape Coral, Fla., neighborhood and jumping up and down before he began dancing to various songs, including "Rich Girl" by Hall & Oates back in April.

Southwest Florida authorities encountered a bizarre scene earlier this year when, according to officers, a man who claimed he was fending off vampires danced on the roof of a patrol car and ranted loudly.

“[He] has the moves like Jagger, but chose the wrong dance floor,” Sheriff Mike Scott said.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) released the surveillance footage of the April 7 incident via its YouTube account Wednesday, and the video has already accumulated an excess of nearly 37,000 views.

According to LCSO, the star of the video, Christian Radecki, 44, was seen climbing onto a marked patrol SUV in a Cape Coral, Florida, neighborhood and jumping up and down before he began dancing to various songs, including “Rich Girl” by Hall & Oates.

According to a report obtained by area NBC affiliate WPTV, Radecki said it all began when a “woman with fangs” came to his door, threatening that a human sacrifice was about to occur involving vampires. “Therefore, Radecki made the conscious decision to get the Sheriff of Nottingham to help him stop the slaughter of small children,” the report states.

Neighbors told officers that Radecki drove his 2000 Lincoln Town Car into the rear bumper of the marked Lee County Sheriff’s Officer K-9 Unit SUV before getting out and immediately climbing on top of the SUV and dancing on the roof for several minutes while his car’s stereo played loudly.

When officers arrived, they noted that Radecki was clear and alert, and he told authorities he had not taken any drugs or alcohol. Emergency medical crews Radecki was transported to nearby Cape Coral Hospital for medical clearance, and he was later taken to jail.
