Charlotte Bembry Houston, age 68, of Jennings, Fla., passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga. Charlotte was a native of Opp, Alabama, born March 26, 1947, to the late Marion and Lucille Carnley Bembry. She worked for the Hamilton County School Board as a bus driver and bus barn employee until she retired. Prior to going to work for the school board, she worked at Dedge’s Flower Shop in Jasper creating and delivering floral treats. Charlotte was a member of Burnham Christian Church near Jennings. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ferrell Bembry and a sister, Ann Bembry Thompkins.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Ben H. Houston, Jennings; one son, Marion James Lamb and his fiancé Erin Delano of Casselberry, Fla.; one daughter, Ida Joy Houston and her husband Thomas Nemeth, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Wayne Bembry (Linda), Live Oak, Fla. and Buck Bembry (Opal), Perry, Fla.; five sisters, Judy B. Bass, Live Oak, Fla., Debbie Liston (Donald) Hatchbend, Fla., Sheila Solomon (Mike), Burlington, N.C., Rita Bouquet, Holly Hill, Fla. and Cindy B. Neely (Walter), Live Oak, Fla.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Burnham Christian Church with Pastor Johnny Brown officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Harry T. Reid Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Dennis Allen Hackle
Nov. 22, 1947 – June 5, 2015
Dennis Allen Hackle, age 67, of Jasper, Fla., passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following a short illness. Dennis was born on Nov. 22, 1947, in Jasper to Major and Delores Hall Hackle. He graduated from Jasper High School. Dennis worked for the Florida Division of Forestry for many years and then with Occidental/PCS until he retired in 1999. Dennis was a member of First Baptist Church in Jasper, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis is survived by a daughter, Morgan Cheatham (Joel) and a granddaughter due soon, as well as his brother Donald Hackle of Jasper. He is also survived by Pat Monroe, a special companion.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 7, 2015, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
