The Moultrie Observer’s coverage of an attempted land sale from the county to Teramore Development of Thomasville has contained an error. The error became most prominent in Friday’s coverage of a restraining order that has put the deal on hold.

Throughout our coverage, we have referred to “Northlake Wilwat”, an unsuccessful bidder for the property, as a single entity. It is not. Northlake Development, a Moultrie company, was working with Wilwat Properties, an Atlanta company, to purchase the land on Veterans Parkway at Highway 37 East.

It should have more appropriately been written “Northlake and Wilwat.”

Northlake Development, LLC, and W. Lynn Lasseter filed the suit, through their attorneys. Lasseter is a principal in Northlake Development.

Wilwat Properties is not involved in the lawsuit.

The Observer regrets its error.
