- Moe’s Southwest Grill will be moving into vacant space in this building near Walmart on US 129 North.
Moe’s Southwest Grill, home to a fresh and flavorful Tex-Mex menu full of quirky names like the “Joey Bag of Donuts” and “Close Talker,” is set to arrive in Live Oak this fall. The approximately 2,000 square foot restaurant will be located next to Verizon Wireless on US 129 just north of Suwannee Plaza and Walmart, according to Lake City Realtor Scott Stewart. Stewart has assisted Moe’s franchisees Robert and Michelle Mann in acquiring the Live Oak property after the success of the Manns’ first Moe’s in Lake City.
“I’ve enjoyed working with folks in the Live Oak area and I look forward to bringing more great things to the area in the future,” Stewart said.
Robert Mann expects the new Moe’s to be open by the end of September after construction is complete.
“There’s a growing market in Live Oak,” Mann remarked. “We’re happy to be moving in.”
About 15 new jobs will be created at Moe’s and hiring will begin four to six weeks before the restaurant opens, Mann said. He said new hires will likely be trained in the Lake City location.
The Live Oak location of the “fast-casual” Atlanta-based restaurant will feature the full Moe’s southwest menu and catering services, Mann stated. Moe’s boasts all-natural chicken, grass-fed steak, organic tofu and fresh veggies for customizable burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, salads and more, plus free chips and salsa with every order.
