Jack Carmichael

Feb. 13, 1932 – July 7, 2015

 

Jack Carmichael, age 83, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Shands UF in Gainesville, Fla. He was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak and a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War and the Florida National Guard serving in Desert Storm. Jack worked as an Engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation and was a member of Clayland Baptist Church and Rocky Sink Lodge #88 F & AM. He enjoyed fishing, mostly for mullet and loved spending time on his farm. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Carmichael, Live Oak; two sons, Denton (JoAnn) Carmichael, Live Oak; David (Denise) Carmichael, Lake City; two daughters, LaRonna Johnson, Day, Fla.; Laurette Carmichael, Live Oak; two brothers, Doyle Carmichael and Jerry Carmichael both of Live Oak; five sisters, Judy Carmichael, Live Oak; Lynda Gail Jackson, Alachua, Fla.; Nancy Allen, Jacksonville, Fla.; Peggy Buchanan, Day, Fla. and Bonita Williams, MacClenny, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2015 in the Clayland Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Lawhon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

July 6, 2015

Cynthia Acree, a resident of the Fort Union Community, Live Oak, Florida, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, in Gainesville, Florida.

Mrs. Cynthia Acree is survived by her mother, Mrs. Arnettta Perkins; her children: Marvin Acree, Michael Acree, Lashonda Acree, Dennis Acree Jr. and Gregory Acree; grands; daughters-in-law; and many other close relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cynthia Acree will be Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the African Baptist Church Live Oak, Florida. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, July 10, 2015, at 6 p.m. in the D.M. Udell Funeral Home Chapel.

Anna V. Streetman went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2015. She was born in Greeneville, Tenn. and moved to Florida. She resided in Live Oak for 35 years. She was a devoted member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Anna was preceded in death by Charles A Streetman Sr., husband of 52 years and their son, Charles A Streetman Jr. Survived by daughters Jenice (Bill) Albert, Jenny (John) Foley, Brenda (Kenneth) Bryant and daughter in-law Geneva Streetman. She had 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, an extended family and many friends.

Services: Viewing Friday, July 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Daniels Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, July 11 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Robert Allen (Bob) Cribbs Sr.

Aug. 21, 1948 – June 30, 2015

Robert Allen (Bob) Cribbs Sr. passed away quietly at his home on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Wilcox, Florida at the age of 66.

Bob is survived by his wife, Trisha Cribbs, a son, Robert A. Cribbs Jr. of High Springs, Florida, two daughters, Pamela (Matt) Trawick of Mayo, Florida, and Angela (Jerry) Parnell of Newberry, Florida, and 13 grandchildren.  He is also survived by his parents, Lester and Betty Cribbs of Trenton, Florida, two brothers, Dave (Eunice) Cribbs of Williston, Florida, and Bruce Cribbs of Alachua, Florida, and one sister, Pat (Donnie) Watson of High Springs, Florida.

 Bob was born on Aug. 21, 1948 in Dade City, Florida and attended Trenton High School, class of 1966. He was a Vietnam veteran, proudly serving in the United States Marine Corp.  He was retired from the US Postal Service.

In keeping with his wishes, private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Haven Hospice in Chiefland, Fla.
