The Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting life coach and motivational speaker Bob Davies at the National Guard Armory Aug. 20, as a kickoff to their new Leadership Suwannee program, which is open to Chamber members and non-members.
“You have far more capacity to create the circumstances and events in your life than you are aware of,” says Davies, peak performance motivational speaker.
Davies has spent a lifetime coaching and teaching people to accomplish their goals, whether it was about winning a championship, going farther as an entrepreneur, or seeing themselves become a healthier person. He teachers best practices utilized by the country’s top industry professionals and elite performers to help them improve business strategy, according to www.bobdavies.com
Leadership Suwannee, a program created by the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting Davies as the keynote speaker during their Aug. 20 luncheon at the National Guard Armory, located at 1416 11th St., SW, Live Oak. The time of the event is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost per person is $15. If interested in attending, RSVP by Aug. 14 by calling 386-362-3017.
“We want to knock it out of the park initially, and that will pave the way for the other class schedules that we have,” said Austin Richmond, executive director of the Chamber. He remarked that the intent of the program is to help create leaders in Suwannee County.
The Leadership Suwannee program is a valuable learning tool that provides civic-minded participants with information relating to the issues, opportunities and challenges facing Suwannee County. Leadership Suwannee’s members will participate in education sessions, tours and candid conversation with community leaders, and is designed to identify, educate and develop leaders for our community. Topics will include: public safety, education, healthcare, tourism, agriculture and economic development, according to the Chamber.
Richmond said this program is available for 20 to 30 people who get registered and selected. He continued by stressing that the Bob Davies event on Aug. 20 is open to the public.
Those interested in learning more about how to participate in Leadership Suwannee may contact the Chamber.
“Leadership Suwannee is another program that adds value to being a Chamber of Commerce member,” said Richmond.
