Jim, the eldest of seven children from James and Doris Beschen (Sigmond), was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. After starting a family of his own while living in the area for several years, Jim moved his family to Florida in favor of the tropical climate and business opportunities. His love of South Florida allowed him to passionately pursue fishing, boating, camping in the Florida Keys, and nurturing beautiful and exotic flowering plants.
Later in life, Jim and Mary Jane (Gus) retired in the serenity of Suwannee County, Florida. It was here that Jim really enjoyed the outdoors, tending to his greenhouse plants, gardening, swimming, and spending time with visiting family.
Jim was a man who served God, his family, friends and country. He will be greatly missed but ever present in our hearts!
