Dr. Dennis and Tammy Thomas of Valdosta announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashlyn Thomas, of Valdosta, Ga., to Brett DeLoach of Patterson, Ga., son of David and Terri DeLoach of Blackshear, Ga.

The wedding is planned for 5:30 p.m., Nov. 14, 2015, at DeMott Vineyards at Gin Creek, Hartsfield, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Evelyn Cunningham and the late James Cunningham of Valdosta, and the late Hayden and Leola Thomas of Sandy Springs, Ga. The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Lowndes High School, received a master of health science in occupational therapy from Georgia Regents University in 2014. She is employed as an occupational therapist in the Pierce County and Brantley County school systems.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mary Thompson and the late Hugh Mac Thompson Sr. of Blackshear, and Thedius Clough and the late Doris E. DeLoach Sr. of Blackshear. The groom-elect is a 2009 graduate of Pierce County High School, and received a University of Georgia Terry College of Business bachelor of business administration, business management. He is employed as a forester at Pierce Timber Company, LLC.
