Robert “Bob” Franklin Geiger
Nov. 23, 1936 – Sept. 26, 2015
Robert “Bob” Franklin Geiger, 78, passed away Sept. 26, 2015 at his residence in Lake City, Fla. His suffering with Pulmonary Fibrosis is now over and he is at peace with his Lord. Robert was born Nov. 23, 1936 in Mayo, Fla., to the late David Clayton Geiger II and Shelly (Pridgeon) Geiger. Bob was of the Church of Christ faith and was a veteran who served in the United States Air Force. He retired from AT&T as a Technical Supervisor. Bob would fill the room with laughter and joy. He loved to tap into everyone’s love of life. Bob loved this life, but he loved his Lord and the promise of Heaven far greater. He will be missed by all, especially the little children he stopped to hug, hold and “high five”! Bob was preceded in death by David Clayton Geiger, II and Shelly (Pridgeon) Geiger Sullivan. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Morris “Pete” Sullivan, and a brother, David Geiger. Bob leaves behind his wife, Geraldine “Geri” Geiger. They enjoyed over 25 years of marriage together. Geri was the love of his life. He is also survived by one brother, William “Bill” Henry Geiger and his wife, Lee Anne Geiger, of Arlington, VA; one sister-in-law, Maurice Geiger; two nieces, Michele Geiger and Elizabeth Lund; two nephews, Mark Geiger and Michael Geiger, and their families. Funeral service was held at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Mayo on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 at 4 p.m. in Mayo with Mr. Charles Page officiating. Interment followed in the Northside Church of Christ Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL.
